BURGER TOPPINGS TO TRY TODAY!
Take your burger creations to the next level! See below to learn how you can make these delicious toppings at home.
- Pickled Cucumbers: In a small bowl add 1 cup water, 1/3 cup vinegar, 2 tbsp sugar, and 1-2tsp salt. Stir to combine and until the sugar and salt have dissolved. Add the cucumber and onion. Taste and adjust the ingredients to your liking and refrigerate.
- Bacon: Simply fry smoky rashers of bacon in oil for 3 to 4 minutes on each side
- Coleslaw: Slice cabbages finely and place in a bowl. Grate carrot coarsely and add to the cabbage. In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise, yogurt and mustard, pinch of sugar and season to taste, then stir into the cabbage mixture.
- Jalapeno Chili: Add chopped jalapenos to melted Monterrey Jack or Cheddar Cheese
- Pesto: Add garlic, nuts, basil and salt and pepper to a small food processor and whizz for a couple of seconds. Add the Parmesan. Slowly add the olive oil until it is all combined and you have a smooth pesto.
- Avocado: Halve and remove the pit from an avocado. Peel each half. Add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime juice over each half.
- Fried Egg: Drizzle some olive oil into a pan and fry the egg until the whites are firm but the yolk is still runny for a deliciously rich flavour, while oozing all over the rest of the ingredients in the burger.
- Mushrooms: Add the mushrooms and dry-sauté them until they release their water, about 2-3 minutes. Add the onions and the olive oil, toss to combine and continue to sauté over high heat for 1 minute. Add salt to taste and cook until the onions soften and begin to brown.
- Caramelised Onions: Add butter to a pan, add chopped onions, and cook on a low heat until they become soft.
- Hummus: Add chickpeas and minced garlic to a food processor. Puree until a smooth, powder-like mixture forms. While it is blending, add ice cubes, peanut butter, salt, and lemon juice.
