Massy Stores partners with WHYFARM to support 30 families in the Siparia community
Massy Stores has partnered with Siparia-based agricultural NGO, WHYFARM to donate hampers to over 30 families in the Siparia community.
“We know that the effects of Covid 19 were far reaching and many families were impacted. Working with WHYFARM we decided to focus on supporting families, particularly families with elderly members, by providing non-perishable foods as well as fresh produce, grown in Siparia, supplied through WHYFARM,” noted Roxane de Freitas, CEO, Massy Stores Trinidad.
She further added that “we’re also excited about this partnership with WHYFARM – an NGO aligned to food security and community development through agricultural partnerships, all areas which we are passionate about, embodied in our brand promise of Our Family Serving Your Family.”
WHYFARM founder, Alpha Sennon, echoed her excitement by adding “speaking on behalf of the community, we welcome this effort and look forward to Massy Stores joining the Siparia community later this month.”
Massy Stores Mini Supermarket located at 13 High Street Siparia is currently in the final stages of completion and will open its doors later this month. The convenience-focused store, will feature a curated offering of chilled and frozen foods, quality meats, fresh produce, liquor and more.
